Description
Weathered Azulejo Blue: a Portuguese wall with a story
Weathered Azulejo Blue (DW7048) shows a wall where the plaster has come away in layers. Underneath, ornate tile patterns in indigo and cobalt blue appear, just like the ones you find in the old streets of Lisbon and Porto. Cream, sand and warm taupe blend softly into each other, with small patches of red brick as an accent. The effect is lived-in and romantic, without bringing a real old wall into your home.

Frequently asked questions
Won’t a weathered wall behind the hob look messy?
The colours are soft and close together: cream, sand and a muted blue. As a result the wall reads as one calm surface with character. Pair it with plain fronts and a light worktop and the whole stays balanced.
Which kitchens suit this azulejo backsplash?
Wooden fronts, a light natural stone worktop and brass or gold coloured taps create a warm, Mediterranean feel. With white fronts and black taps it becomes fresher and a little more rugged.
