Jeanine chose a kitchen backsplash in a RAL colour – and shares her experience
Not everyone is looking for a kitchen backsplash with a striking print or photo. Sometimes calm, simplicity and a colour that perfectly matches the rest of the kitchen is exactly what you need. That was also the case for Jeanine, who deliberately chose a RAL colour kitchen wall – and is very happy with it.
Looking for a calm, solid colour in the kitchen
Jeanine quickly knew she didn’t want a busy design or striking pattern. A solid colour would best complement her modern kitchen, but in a shade that was exactly right. She had her eye on RAL 7038 – agate grey, a soft light grey colour with a warm undertone.
Personal advice and custom samples
Because a RAL colour on aluminium looks slightly different from a painted wall, we advised Jeanine to first look at some test samples. We made five variations of the specified colour – each slightly lighter or darker – so she could choose the right tone for the light in her kitchen.

Photoshop preview & location visit
To help Jeanine even better with her choice, we created a digital photomontage of her own kitchen with the new backsplash incorporated. This way she could immediately see how the chosen RAL kitchen backsplash would look in her own interior. She also visited our location to view the material in person and experience it firsthand.
Custom cutouts for power sockets
Jeanine wanted her kitchen wall to fit absolutely perfectly, including the cutouts for her power sockets. Of course, that was no problem. We processed the exact dimensions and delivered the panels completely custom-made. After delivery, Jeanine only had to mount them.
A successful delivery – exactly as hoped
“This week we received our kitchen backsplash. We are very pleased with how we were helped. We even received a photoshop mockup of our kitchen with an example of what the new backsplash would look like. We also visited the location to view the material. Communication was very good and friendly. And our backsplash is beautiful and exactly as we expected. We definitely recommend this company!”
In total, Jeanine chose two panels in RAL 7038, including cutouts. The cost of the samples was of course deducted from the final order.
