The heat from a gas hob can rise considerably. Especially when you have multiple burners on and the gas is fully open. With an induction or ceramic hob, this is much less. That’s why it’s very important to keep enough distance between the flame and the backsplash.
Backsplash behind the hob, how does it work?
It’s important that there’s enough distance between the backsplash and the flame. Test the distance while the flame is on. Is the distance between the flame and the backsplash less than 10 cm? Then we recommend placing a backboard saver between the Designerwand and the hob. We’ll help you find the right glass panel for your situation.
The heat from induction or ceramic cooking is not comparable to a gas hob. Due to the open flame, the temperature rises very high. With induction or other hobs, extra protection is therefore not necessary.
Combine different backsplashes behind the hob.
