DW Original - Most popular kitchen backsplash material

Material properties

Our material has a thickness of 3 mm and consists of three layers. The outer layers are made of aluminium and the inner layer is made of hard plastic. The material weighs only 4.3 kg/m². Installing a backsplash is therefore a much easier job than tiling.

PLEASE NOTE: Do you have a gas stove? Then DW Original is unsuitable if the stove is not at least 10 CM away from the backsplash! Choose Massief Aluminium - DW Solid or DW Glass instead.

Our kitchen backsplashes are therefore lightweight and consequently easy to install. The print is applied onto the aluminium and therefore looks amazing. We print directly onto the panel and a protective coating is applied on top.

Suitable for induction hobs (heat)

Our kitchen panels are water and heat resistant for use with an induction hob. This way your backsplash is also protected against water splashes. However, be careful with household appliances that blow excessive heat towards the back for prolonged periods, such as an air fryer. The Original panel is sensitive to this and may deform. Want to avoid this issue? Then choose our DW Solid variant.

Freedom to choose any design

The great thing about our kitchen backsplashes is that you have complete freedom. We can adjust existing designs in terms of colour, scale. We can change everything. Want the flower more to the left or right? We handle every order manually and contact you to meet all your wishes. For example, see how we designed custom wallpaper for a bedroom (taking into account the wardrobe and bed that would also be in the room). A your own photo on your backsplash is also great!

Coating: gloss vs. matte

We have a sample in stock of every design from our backsplash collection in DW Original. Order up to six samples. Or visit our showroom to view them.

For DW Solid we have put together a sample package. And DW Glass can only be seen in our showroom.

Matte lacquer

We have all matte lacquer samples in stock. Delivered tomorrow!

Glossy lacquer

The glossy lacquer reflects much more than the matte lacquer. From a distance, this lacquer gives a feeling as if it is made of glass. Especially with DW Solid, it looks even more like glass.
